An Evening Out
On sunday, I attended a event at the Waterworks Restaurant in Philadelphia. A charity auction show, there was networking as well a fashion show with designs by Shavonne DeAnn. You may have seen Angela Simmons wearing some of her designs. It was lovely, me and my friends enjoyed ourselves and met some cool people. Great way to start the summer!

Factory Boys: Balmain Homme's A/W 2010
I just saw this and died. Military inspired by the 20th century Military is brilliant. Double-breasted coats with naval accents. I really love this look because, I love the 20th century era! Everything from fashion to culture was really just starting, it was the age of scientific inventions, politics, romance and ideaology. But anways, the collection reminds me of the factory boys, who would work in the factory's...in a fashionisto sort of way though.

These are the best collages I've seen yet! I always say that I'm going to start doing some and posting them but I haven't inherited patience yet! lol It obviously take's time and skill. I found them via Fashion Chalet and I love them! Each "board" as I call them, captures a specific mood in the atmosphere, these inspire me. Hope you as well.

Ugo Mozie from Stylelikeu.com from Stylelikeu on Vimeo.
I just stumbled across this site today, and I spent a hour watching interviews and viewing closets. It's really cool, there's all different types of people featured from all over talking about their personal style and inspirations. I love seeing sites like this! Ugo Mozie, a young designer born in Nigeria is featured and I've been following him...he's very creative, I love his clothing as well as his own personal style. I love his philosophy on fashion, watch his interview on StylelikeU

Weekend at The Piazza: Posh Boutique Grand Opening
This past weekend was very exciting! I attended a boutique opening in the Northern Liberties section of Philly in the "Piazza" which is a collection of shops, restaurants and art galleries. Posh Boutique, offers exclusive apparel for the trend-setting women of Philadelphia. I had the chance to chat with the owners of the boutique, two young women who are sisters...they're actually twins! It's always inspirational to see young entrepreneurs venturing out, I love the boutique, I definitely will be shopping there. Congrats ladies! I also met up with a new friend, and fellow blogger Sophie & Chantel check out their blogs!

MESE DESIGN STUDIO X HOUSE OF RA'OOF

While I was on Spring Break, I attended a Art & Fashion Expo I was invited to by one of my friends on Twitter! You have to love Twitter. I do. I've never been to one of these before, and I had a really good time.... It was a open studio, displaying various wall art and clothing. The Expo was hosted by Mese Design Studios featuring art from local Philadelphia artists and introduced The House of RA'OOF "Pounce" Spring 2010, which is men's vintage and reconstructive wear. They also have accessories bags, shoes & sunglasses. I really loved the clothing, especially the vests & jackets...the bleach detail with the added patches for that vintage feel. Although, it's for men...I will be getting me a vest, or jean jacket for the summer! Check out their blog for updates!

Beyonce's Looks at the Grammys
I love Mrs. Knowles on twitter, they may call me a "stan" but I don't care, she is everything. So, I had to do a seperate post on her Grammy looks! From Beginning to end, she looked FIERCE as always! Her performance was awesome, Versace dress and Giuseppe Zanotti's, they're only 100 pairs made.

GRAMMY'S!
Here's some of my highlights and favorite's of the night? Did you guys see it? What were your thoughts? The fashion was great, but the Grammy's used to be classy, it looked like the VMA's.

Rhianna is in this feathered, backless, white Elie Saab gown.

Lady Gaga wears "Art"in sparkling corseted dress by Giorgio Armani Privé. The dress, encrusted in Swarovski crystals.

Katy Perry, with inspiration from India, in a gold and nude Zac Posen dress.

Beyonce in beautifully structured, Stephane Rolland nude gown.

Miley Cirus, looks gorg in this Herve Leger bandage dress.
